Why Volunteering Matters
Weardale Together is a grassroots organization powered by local residents. Volunteering with us is more than giving your time — it is about making friends, sharing skills, and directly building a stronger, healthier, and more connected valley.
What You Can Expect
- Warm Welcome: A friendly, supportive team that values your unique contributions.
- Skill Sharing: Learn traditional crafts, culinary skills, event support, or digital tools.
- Flexible Commitment: Whether you can spare two hours a month or a day a week, we have a role for you.
Practical Commitment
We support our volunteers with free travel expenses where appropriate, standard safeguarding and induction training, and plenty of tea, coffee, and home-cooked soup from our café!
Alternative Route: Rather talk on the phone? Give us a call at 01388 526200 or visit us in person at the Stanhope Hub during café opening hours.
